That you can go to college for $99/month plus $49 per class. Or you can pay $199/month for unlimited classes. These are options offered by some online colleges and they bear watching. Although I have not been a fan of for-profit colleges overall because of their generally poor graduation rates and high costs (and their often shady recruitment practices), this innovation strikes me as having some potential merit. Most for-profit college students are adults with jobs and this would enable attendance without going into big debt. You could “pay as you go”.
This kind of innovation may put some pressure on the sky high tuition at both non-profit and for-profit colleges.

I wonder how they can offer a quality education at such a discounted price? Are employers going to value graduates from Walmart U as much as they do from traditional schools?
