CPA exam overview

Exam sections
The CPA exam is broken down into four sections with a specific time allotted for each section, totaling 14 hours. You can take the CPA exam one section at a time in no particular order.

Self-study ethics exam
In Minnesota, in addition to passing all four sections of the CPA exam and earning the required professional experience, CPA candidates must complete an AICPA self-study ethics exam.
