What is the Minnesota Society of CPAs's NASBA ID number?
The MNCPA is a Minnesota Board of Accountancy approved sponsor and therefore does not have a NASBA ID number. You can leave the NASBA ID line blank when renewing your license with the BOA.
What is the purpose of NASBA?
NASBA serves as a forum for the 55 U.S. Boards of Accountancy. NASBA sponsors a variety of programs and services designed to enhance the effectiveness of its member boards.
Do all course providers have to be on the NASBA registry?
In Minnesota, it is required that 60% of CPE taken must come from Board Approved Sponsors, which includes those sponsors on the NASBA registry.
How do I know if the course sponsor is on the NASBA registry?
Search the Registry of CPE Sponsors by keyword.
Do self-study courses need to be on the NASBA registry?
In Minnesota, it is required that all self-study courses be on the Quality Assurance Services (QAS) list, which is a part of the NASBA registry. If a course does not have a QAS ID number, it will not count for continuing education credit with the Minnesota Board of Accountancy.
