CPE Webcast Frequently Asked Questions
Video
I need technical support, who do I call?
Technical Support is available from ACPEN, our webcast partner. If you have a question or need help, call the ACPEN Help Desk at 1-800-747-1719. On webcast days, the ACPEN Help Desk is available 60 minutes prior to the webcast, during the webcast, and 60 minutes after. On non-webcast days, they are available Monday - Friday, 8 a.m. - 6 p.m. CST, excluding holidays. You can also email
help@acpen.com. They will answer your email within one business day.
What are live webcasts?
Just like live seminars, live webcasts last for scheduled periods and are led by live instructors. You can ask questions and get real feedback. Unlike live seminars, live webcasts are broadcast through a Web page that you access with a computer in the comfort of your own home or office. They include live video and audio of the speakers, slide show presentations and handout materials.
What is a webcast replay?
A replay is a repeated showing of a previous webcast with an instructor standing by live to answer your questions. These programs qualify as a group live seminar.
How can I interact with webcast instructors?
You can email your questions to instructors at any time throughout a webcast. The instructors will respond to your questions live during the broadcast. In addition to email, select webcasts allow you to phone or fax in questions.
I like the written materials that accompany seminars. What do live webcasts have to offer?
Live webcasts also provide written materials. After submitting your registration for a live webcast, you automatically receive online access to its written materials. For select webcasts, you may request materials be mailed to you in book form.
Do I need to view a webcast at its scheduled time?
To receive CPE credits, you need to view the webcast during its scheduled time. Random codes are displayed throughout the webcast that you must later submit to receive your certificate of completion. You can view the archived version of the webcast for 30 days following the event, but you only receive CPE credit for viewing the live broadcast.
Do I have to take a test to verify my participation in a live webcast?
No. Because these webcasts are live group study events and not online self-study programs, there are no tests following the broadcasts. Instead, you need to record a simple code that is randomly displayed in four parts throughout the webcast.
How do I receive a CPE certificate of completion?
To receive your certificate of completion, you simply submit the four-part code that is randomly displayed throughout the webcast. If you submit less than all four parts of the code, you receive partial CPE credit. You will receive your certificate of completion via email.
How do I register for a live webcast?
You must register online for live webcasts and pay by credit card. Because webcasts are administered by ACPEN, you will need to create a separate account with them before registering for your first live webcast. Please do not mail or fax your registrations to the MNCPA.
Can I register for a webcast the same day?
Yes, you can register at anytime, even if the webcast has already begun. However, you only get credit for the period you attend. For example, if you register for an eight-hour webcast but only log in for the afternoon, you only get four credit hours, not eight.
How do I pay for webcasts?
You must pay by credit card at the time of registration. Your credit card statement will reflect a transaction from Biz Vision.
What if I need to cancel my registration?
To change courses, cancel an order or get a refund, please send an email to
help@acpen.com with your name, email address, phone number, State Society, and date and name of webcast. Your request will be handled within one business day. You may also contact Anne Taylor, ACPEN Network Affiliate Manager at 972-377-8199.
Can a group watch a webcast together?
Yes, there are several options for group viewing of webcasts.
Contact Kate Cooper at 952-885-5508 to setup your group for an upcoming webcast.
Is the program sponsor registered with the NASBA National Registry of CPE sponsors? If so, what is its registry ID number?
Yes, the live webcast program sponsor, Business Professionals' Network, is registered with the NASBA National Registry of CPE Sponsors as a group Internet-based sponsor. Its registry ID number is 107810.
What are the computer system requirements for viewing webcasts?
I still have questions. Who can I contact for more information?
