The budget work begins

Gov. Tim Walz released his proposed budget Feb. 19, which was met with mixed reception. Supporters believe the proposed budget will make needed investments in programs that will help Minnesotans continue to prosper. Opponents are critical of the increased taxes and spending, and they cited recent budget forecast documents that show a surplus of state revenues.
