Registration and fees

What is the deadline to receive the early bird registration fee?
Your registration and payment must be received by Friday, June 3, 2011, to qualify for the early bird registration fee.

What other discounts are available?
MNCPA members receive a discounted rate. You can join online today to receive a discount on all MNCPA continuing education.

Can I register for only one day?
Yes. Although we recommend attending both days for the maximum educational experience, you may register for only one day at a reduced fee. One-day registration will be available soon.

Can I split a two-day registration with a friend?
No. Each person who attends the conference must be registered individually to ensure educational credits are given appropriately.

I'm not sure what sessions I want to attend. Can I submit my registration now and choose sessions later?
Yes. However, it is important that we eventually receive your session selections to make sure room size matches session demand and specialized credits are given appropriately. Session registration will be open through Wednesday, June 22. You can also fill out a session registration form at the conference registration desk to select or update your sessions.

I'm already registered, but still need to pick sessions. How do I do this?
Login and pick your sessions online. It's that easy. Or if you prefer, call the MNCPA at 952-831-2707, x1. Please note: Session registration will be open through Wednesday, June 22.

What if I need to cancel my registration?
Cancellations must be received at least four (4) business days prior to an event to receive a full refund. No refunds will be issued if you cancel within three (3) business days of the event and no CPE credit will be earned. Cancel online or by phone 952-831-2707, x1. Please see our cancellation policy for more information.

 


Conference materials

Where and when do I receive my conference materials?

Online: Materials are posted on the website as they are received from speakers. To access the materials, you must be registered and paid in full for the conference.

At the Conference: Materials are distributed at individual session rooms. A portfolio will be provided to organize all of your conference materials.

 


Meals and refreshments

Are refreshments and meals provided?
Yes. Continuous beverages including water, pop and coffee are provided throughout the conference. Light breakfast items and lunch are also provided at no additional charge.

Can you accommodate my dietary restrictions?
Please indicate any special dietary restrictions or vegetarian preferences when you submit your registration. Every effort will be made to accommodate your request. You can also contact the professional education department at 952-831-2707, x1 or registrations@mncpa.org to change your preferences.

 


Special requests

Is there a room for nursing mothers?
Yes, there will be a private room available for you at the facility. On the day of the conference, please come to the onsite registration desk located on the mezzanine level and an MNCPA staff member will direct you to the private room. If you have questions, contact Allie Nissen at anissen@mncpa.org or at 952-885-5518.

 


Attire

What should I wear to the conference?
Most people wear comfortable business or business casual attire to MNCPA events.  You may wish to dress in layers as room temperatures may vary.

 


Conference location

Where will the conference be held in the Minneapolis Convention Center?

  • Check-in and onsite registration will be located on the mezzanine level at the east end of the building.
  • Conference sessions will be held in both mezzanine and lower level rooms.
  • Light breakfast items and refreshments will be served in the mezzanine and lower level lobbies.
  • Exhibitors will be located in the mezzanine and lower level lobbies.
  • Lunch will be served in Exhibit Hall A (lower level).

Where are the closest elevators to the conference location within the convention center?
Elevators are located outside of Exhibit Hall B.

Where is the mezzanine level in the Minneapolis Convention Center?
The mezzanine level is located on the east end of the Minneapolis Convention Center, one level down from street level.

 


Parking

Where should I park?
The 3rd Avenue South Convention Center ramp is closest to the conference location within the Minneapolis Convention Center. Additional parking is available at the underground Plaza and Orchestra Hall ramps. There are parking fees, so please plan accordingly.
IMPORTANT NOTE: Parking fees for the underground Plaza ramp are significantly higher and require payment by credit card.
Maps and driving directions

Where can I park a  truck that is too tall for ramps?
A surface lot is available behind Central Lutheran Church at 333 South 12th Street. Space is limited, so plan to arrive early if you need to take advantage of this lot.
