FAQs
What is the Minnesota Society of CPAs's NASBA ID number?
The MNCPA is a Minnesota Board of
Accountancy approved sponsor and therefore does
not have a NASBA ID number. You can leave the
NASBA ID line blank when renewing your license
with the BOA.
What is the purpose of NASBA?
NASBA serves as a forum for the 55 U.S. Boards of
Accountancy. NASBA sponsors a variety of programs and
services designed to enhance the effectiveness of its
member boards.
Do all course providers have to be on the NASBA
registry?
In Minnesota, it is required that 60% of CPE taken
must come from
Board Approved Sponsors, which includes those
sponsors on the NASBA registry.
How do I know if the course sponsor is on the
NASBA registry?
Search the
Registry of CPE Sponsors based on type
of course delivery or company name.
Do self-study courses need to be on the NASBA
registry?
In Minnesota, it is required that all self-study
courses be on the
Quality Assurance Services (QAS) list,
which is a part of the NASBA registry. If a course does
not have a QAS ID number, it will not count for
continuing education credit with the Minnesota Board of Accountancy.
