MNCPA Recording and Intellectual Property Policy

Updated: 8/11/2026

To protect the intellectual property of presenters and ensure a secure, open environment for peer-to-peer discussion, attendees are prohibited from recording video, audio, or capturing screenshots at MNCPA events including but not limited to, educational programs, or committee and task force meetings for anything other than personal use.

  • Event Recordings: If an educational event or session is being recorded by the MNCPA for participant review, access instructions will be emailed to all registered participants within 10 business days.
  • Meeting Recordings: MNCPA staff may record committee, task force, or working group meetings solely to aid in the drafting of official records (such as meeting minutes), writing articles, or gathering insights for product development. These internal recordings are for staff use only, are not distributed to attendees, and will be deleted once the official written minutes or records are finalized.
  • Notification: When a meeting or event is being recorded by the MNCPA or by a third party on the MNCPA’s behalf, all attendees will be notified prior to the start of the meeting or event via confirmation emails, registration materials, platform notifications, and/or oral announcements. The MNCPA recording shall be the only officially recognized recording of any session or meeting.
  • Compliance: Recording, distributing, screenshotting, or rebroadcasting of any MNCPA event or meeting for anything other than personal use is prohibited without the express written consent of the MNCPA. In the case of educational events, violations may result in restrictions from future programming.
