Minnesota Society of Certified Public Accountants hosts 25th Annual Management & Business Advisers Conference

MINNEAPOLIS (June 4, 2019) — Chief financial officers, controllers and corporate finance professionals from Minnesota and throughout the country will be at the Minneapolis Convention Center June 13–14 for the Minnesota Society of Certified Public Accountants’  25th Annual Management & Business Advisers Conference (MBAC19).

MBAC19 provides finance leaders with more than 50 sessions to choose from on topics essential to enhance their leadership and decision-making skills. Attendees will also receive updates on important topics, such as tax reform, technology advancements and the new leasing standard. Sixteen hours of continuing professional education is offered for attendees attending both conference days — with an extra CPE credit available for bonus session attendees.

“I love MBAC because it allows attendees to take in information on a lot of topics that we wouldn’t necessarily have time to learn about anywhere else,” said Randy Zats, CPA, MBA, chair of the conference planning committee. “I always get practical ideas to take back and apply right away.”

The ever-popular headshot photobooth is also back on day two of the event for attendees interested in procuring a new professional photo.

MBAC19 starts with a keynote address from Jack Uldrich, a global futurist and author. Sponsored by Deloitte, Uldrich’s session will talk about embracing today’s trends to create tomorrow’s opportunities.

Other renowned keynote presenters include:
  • A representative from the Minnesota Chamber of Commerce, providing a Minnesota economic update.
  • Holly Hoffman, an author and former “Survivor” contestant, talking about facing fear and uncertainty to help discover who you really are.
  • Susanna Metzler with BlackLine Systems, Inc., discussing understanding risks and compliance within your organizations. This session is 7 a.m. June 14 and provides attendees with an opportunity to get one extra hour of CPE.
MBAC19 is generously supported by several sponsors, including Deloitte, BlackLine Systems, Inc., Salo, SharePoint Credit Union, and Robert Half.
