Internships run from January-May and August-December. Accounting major, generally in their junior or senior year, must receive credit for internship, have a GPA of 3.0 or higher, and be able to work four to six months.
Internship is with the Financial Audit Division. Time worked as an intern counts as qualifying experience for licensure as a Certified Public Accountant. The Financial Audit Division audits the primary functions of state government. The internship offers an opportunity to develop financial and information system auditing skills.
