Eileen is a Partner in the audit department at Legacy and serves on the Firm’s management committee. She received her CPA and has been practicing public accounting since 1989. Eileen specializes in employee benefit plans and has worked extensively with Taft-Hartley multiemployer benefit plans. She supervises and trains staff and also performs quality control reviews for the Firm’s three offices.
Eileen serves as the chair of the Firm’s Audit and Accounting (A&A) Services Committee. The Committee is responsible for keeping up on current developments in the areas of accounting principles and auditing standards and for developing policies and procedures for the Firm.
Eileen recently completed her service on the AICPA Employee Benefit Plans Expert Panel. The Panel monitors employee benefit plan industry developments, trends and opportunities to identify and advise on reporting, attest, and assurance issues unique to employee benefit plans. Prior to serving on the Expert Panel, Eileen served on the Executive Committee of the AICPA Employee Benefit Plan Quality Center. The Center is the national organization for accounting firms that audit ERISA employee benefit plans.
Eileen is a frequent speaker at benefit plan conferences, in-house training sessions, and client seminars. She is an active member of the International Foundation of Employee Benefit Plans (IFEBP). She was a co-presenter for the most recent IFEBP Accounting and Auditing Institute and has spoken at the IFEBP’s Annual Employee Benefit Plan Conference as well as the AICPA National Conference on Employee Benefit Plans.
Over the years, Eileen has authored numerous articles and releases, both at Legacy and for outside publications. She wrote an article on the topic of Fair Value Disclosures, which was published in Benefits & Compensation Digest, the monthly publication of the IFEBP.
