Health and safety measures at the MNCPA Education Center

The safety of MNCPA members, staff and visitors is our number one priority. As we plan and host in-person events, the MNCPA is following Minnesota Department of Health (MDH) guidelines at the MNCPA Education Center in Bloomington.

Here’s what you can expect when you attend an event at the MNCPA Education Center in Bloomington:

  • Elevators equipped with UV light air sterilization technology and dual HEPA filtration fan.
  • HVAC system upgrades that maximize fresh air intake.
  • Easy access to handwashing and hand sanitizer stations.
  • Frequent cleaning in the dining/hospitality area.
  • A full refund if you must cancel due to illness.

Health and safety measures at off-site venues

Protocols vary for events held at venues outside the MNCPA Education Center. Regardless of where you attend, you’ll receive a full refund if you need to cancel due to illness. If you’d like to know more about what to expect when attending an MNCPA event at an off-site venue, please seek out the information on the venue’s website or call the facility directly. If you can’t find answers to your off-site event questions, contact the MNCPA CPE department at 952-831-2707 or customerservice@mncpa.org for assistance.

Liability statement

MNCPA Release of Liability -- Contagious Illness
Certain contagious illnesses, including but not limited to respiratory viruses, are easily spread—even by individuals who are asymptomatic. By registering, I acknowledge that I am freely choosing to attend the MNCPA in-person event during a period when contagious illnesses may be present. I understand that I assume the risk and responsibility of potentially contracting an illness and release MNCPA from any liability related to contracting such illnesses.

FAQ

If I get sick, can I cancel without penalty?
Yes. For the health and safety of all participants, please stay home if you are sick. If you can’t attend because of illness, you can cancel at any time and receive a full refund. Contact the MNCPA CPE department at 952-831-2707 or customerservice@mncpa.org if you need to cancel.

Will food be served?
At full-day, in-person CPE events, food is included in the cost of your registration. For non-CPE events, please refer to the event web page for details about whether food is or is not included.

At the MNCPA Education Center, you can expect:

  • Buffet-style food options and/or pre-packaged, single-serve food items.
  • Single-use cups for beverages.
  • Access to hand washing areas and hand sanitizer.
  • Foodservice and dining surfaces to be cleaned thoroughly after each use.

If you’re attending an MNCPA event hosted elsewhere, you may contact the venue directly for information on their foodservice protocols.

Yes! We offer a wide variety of virtual events, webinars and self-study programs to meet your CPE requirement virtually.
