Samuel Latimer, CPA, CFE, is an audit partner at Rushton, LLC, in the firm’s governmental and nonprofit division. He has more than 15 years of experience working with local governments of all sizes and assisting clients with pertinent issues such as strengthening internal controls, internal process improvement, bond issuances, developing financial policies and procedures, software implementation, grant administration, and other challenges facing local governments and nonprofit entities. Sam regularly teaches continuing professional education classes on internal controls, fraud, single audits, governmental accounting and auditing, and general professional auditing standards.
