Health and safety measures at the MNCPA Education Center

The safety of MNCPA members, staff and visitors is our number one priority. As we plan and host in-person events, the MNCPA is following Minnesota Department of Health (MDH) guidelines at the MNCPA Education Center in Bloomington.

 
Here’s what you can expect when you attend an event at the MNCPA Education Center in Bloomington:
  • Reduced capacities to allow for physical distancing.
  • Elevators equipped with UV light air sterilization technology and dual HEPA filtration fan.
  • HVAC system upgrades that maximize fresh air intake.
  • Easy access to handwashing and hand sanitizer stations.
  • Frequent cleaning in the dining/hospitality area, as well as single-use cups and access to disposable serving gloves.
  • A full refund if you must cancel due to illness.


Health and safety measures at off-site venues

Protocols vary for events held at venues outside the MNCPA Education Center. Regardless of where you attend, you’ll receive a full refund if you need to cancel due to illness.

Liability statement

MNCPA COVID-19 Release of Liability
COVID-19 is a highly contagious and easily spread virus - even among those carriers who are asymptomatic. By registering I acknowledge that I am freely choosing to attend the MNCPA in-person event during the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. I understand that I have assumed the risk and responsibility of potentially contracting COVID-19 and release MNCPA from any liability as it relates to contracting COVID-19.

I acknowledge that if I have been diagnosed with COVID-19, come in contact with someone who has been diagnosed with COVID-19 or am experiencing symptoms related to COVID-19 (including but not limited to fever, shortness of breath, runny nose, dry cough, sore throat, loss of smell and/or taste) within the two weeks leading up to the start of the event that I will not attend the event.

 

FAQ

If I get sick, can I cancel without penalty?
Yes. For the health and safety of all participants, please stay home if you are sick. If you can’t attend because of illness, you can cancel at any time and receive a full refund. Call us at 952-831-2707 or email customerservice@mncpa.org if you need to cancel.
 
Are masks required?
In accordance with MDH recommendations as of Sept. 2, 2021, you’re strongly encouraged to wear a mask, regardless of vaccination status, at events held at the MNCPA Education Center.

If you’re attending an MNCPA event hosted elsewhere, please check the status of our off-site venues for information on their mask guidelines.
 
Are COVID-19 vaccines required?
Vaccines are not required but are strongly encouraged.
 
Will food be served?
At full-day CPE events, food is included in the cost of your registration. For non-CPE events, please refer to the event web page for details about whether food is or is not included.
 
At the MNCPA Education Center, you can expect:
  • Buffet-style food options and/or pre-packaged, single-serve food items.
  • Single-use cups for beverages.
  • Access to disposable gloves and hand sanitizer.
  • Foodservice and dining surfaces to be cleaned thoroughly after each use.
If you’re attending an MNCPA event hosted elsewhere, please check the status of our off-site venues for information on their foodservice protocols.
 
What happens if I test positive for COVID-19 after attending an MNCPA event?
Contact us as soon as possible (within 24 hours of a positive test result) if you’ve attended an MNCPA event (on- or off-site) during the past 48-hour period. Call 952-831-2707 or email customerservice@mncpa.org.
 
What happens if I attend an MNCPA event and someone else tests positive for COVID-19?
If we are notified of a person testing positive for COVID-19, we will notify MNCPA attendees and guests who may have been in the same space as the affected individual on the day of the event.

Are you still offering virtual/online CPE events?
Yes! We offer a wide variety of webinars and self-study programs to meet your CPE requirement virtually.
