Risk Is Increasing -- and Risk Management Is Evolving -- begins to explore techniques and tools to assist in risk management. Value stream and Plus/Delta techniques are used to help the participant see the value ofemploying known/tested tools to risk management. The use of a risk readinessassessment to identify management's current state regarding risk management isdemonstrated. A key to an effective risk management process is to move it fromthe historic silo-based approach to an enterprise perspective. The sessioncontains lists highlighting trends that can increase risk for organizationsincluding technology, cyber risks, need to recruit and retain talent, businessmodels and more. Executive surveys identifying potential risks and the topic ofBlack Swan events such as Covid -19, are used to show the need for traditionalrisk management approaches to evolve into a core activity.
