This course is intended to introduce learners to key ERISA plan concepts. It identifies relevant parties, documents, accounting and auditing standards and guidance, and other applicable regulations. It also explains the different types of ERISA plans subject to audit and presents common account balances, classes of transactions and disclosures in the financial statements. There is a focus on 401(k) plans which are most common.
