There is a growing expectation globally for businesses to not only provide return to shareholders but also address broader stakeholder interests and concerns. Consistent with this expectation, we are seeing the emergence of new regulations and standards that require disclosures about how companies address material ESG issues in their strategies. With estimates of up to 90% of the value of companies in today's economy being represented by intangible assets, value creation is increasingly driven by the thoughts, experiences, and expertise of people rather than by physical assets. Yet, businesses still struggle with performance management primarily because there is a disconnect between strategy, operations, performance, incentives, and people. To help address this problem, AICPA & CIMA, in partnership with the World Business Council for Sustainable Development (WBCSD), has developed the Integrated Performance Management framework. The key objectives of this Framework are to help executives adopt a multi-capital and multi-stakeholder approach to their business and achieve strategies by empowering and engaging their employees. Attend this webcast to determine how the IPM framework provides a roadmap for implementing a performance management system that places the workforce at its center and drives long-term success.
