Accounting and Auditing Curriculum Advisory Group
The Accounting and Auditing Curriculum Advisory Group discusses current trends in accounting and auditing. After reviewing Society CPE offerings in these areas, the advisory group identifies which courses should be dropped and which should be added to MNCPA's annual CPE schedule. Qualified advisers make decisions about CPE attendance for themselves, their staff and their firm.
Time commitment: 4-5 hours annually

Audits of Employee Benefit Plans Conference Task Force
Task force consists of 5-7 MNCPA members who assist with the development of the conference agenda by identifying and selecting relevant topics and qualified speakers. Perks include building relationships with other MNCPA members who have a similar professional interest and receiving a complimentary conference registration.
Qualifications: 3+ years' experience performing, reviewing or supervising employee benefit plan audits
Requirements: Participation in one meeting and performance of various conference duties, such as introduction of one or more speakers
Time commitment: 10 hours annually (includes conference attendance)

Task force consists of 7-10 MNCPA members who assist with the development of the conference agenda by identifying and selecting relevant topics and qualified speakers. Business Valuation Conference Task Force

Content Review Committee
The Content Review Committee consists of MNCPA members who assist as needed with the review of CPE materials to ensure they comply with NASBA standards. Earn CPE credit for time spent reviewing.
Qualifications: 5+ year’s experience in your field of expertise.
Requirements: Must be an MNCPA member with an active CPA; in some cases you will be reviewing proprietary materials, so you must be willing to sign and abide by a confidentiality agreement.
Time commitment: 1-4 hours per review, depending on the length/nature of materials

Estate and Personal Financial Planning Conference Task Force
Task force consists of 10-12 MNCPA members who assist with the development of the conference agenda by identifying and selecting relevant topics and qualified speakers. Perks include building relationships with other MNCPA members who have a similar professional interest and receiving a complimentary conference registration.
Qualifications: 5+ years' experience providing financial planning and/or wealth management advisory services
Requirements: Participation in 2-3 meetings and performance of various conference duties, such as introduction of one or more speakers
Time commitment: 20 hours annually (includes conference attendance)

Management & Business Advice Advisory Group
Members of this advisory group guide the MNCPA professional education team in selecting management CPE courses for the upcoming year. Qualified advisers make decisions about CPE attendance for themselves and their staff. They also help identify hot topics and trends in education for CPAs who work outside the public accounting environment in companies and organizations in Minnesota.

Management & Business Advisers Conference Task Force
Task force consists of 12-15 MNCPA members who assist with the development of the conference agenda by identifying and selecting relevant topics and qualified speakers. Perks include building relationships with other MNCPA members who have a similar professional interest and receiving a complimentary conference registration.
Qualifications: 3+ years' leadership/management experience (i.e. CFO, controller, finance director) or 5+ years' experience providing business advisory services
Requirements: Participation in 3-4 meetings and performance of various conference duties, such as introduction of one or more speakers
Time commitment: 23-25 hours annually (includes conference attendance)

Not-for-Profit Conference Task Force
Task force consists of 7-10 MNCPA members who assist with the development of the conference agenda by identifying and selecting relevant topics and qualified speakers. Qualifications: 3+ years' nonprofit industry experience (i.e. finance director, financial manager) or 5+ years' experience providing advisory services to the nonprofit industry

School District Audits Conference Task Force

Tax Conference Task Force
Task force consists of 15-18 MNCPA members who assist with the development of the conference agenda by identifying and selecting relevant topics and qualified speakers. Qualifications: 10+ years' experience in individual and/or business taxation including preparation, filing, reporting and/or planning
Requirements: Participation in 3-4 meetings and performance of various conference duties, such as introduction of one or more speakers
Time commitment: 24-26 hours annually (includes conference attendance)

Tax Curriculum Advisory Group
The Taxation Curriculum Advisory Group assists MNCPA professional education staff in selecting beneficial, relevant CPE courses in the area of taxation. Members review current course offerings and suggest improvements, including new additions. Qualified taxation advisers make decisions for themselves, their staff and their firm about CPE attendance in the area of tax.
