ATTIRE

What should I wear to the conference?
Most conference attendees wear comfortable business or business casual attire. You may wish to dress in layers as room temperatures can vary.

CONFERENCE LOCATION

Where are the closest elevators to the conference location within the Minneapolis Convention Center?
Elevators are located outside of Exhibit Hall B.

Where is the mezzanine level in the Minneapolis Convention Center?
The mezzanine level is located on the east end of the Minneapolis Convention Center, one level down from main (street) level.

Where will the conference be held in the Minneapolis Convention Center?

  • Check-in for pre-registered attendees will be located on the main (street) level outside of Ballroom A on the east side of the convention center.
  • On-site registration will be available on the mezzanine level.
  • Conference sessions will be held on the main (street), mezzanine and lower levels.
  • Light breakfast items and refreshments will be served in the mezzanine and lower level lobbies.
  • Lunch will be served in Exhibit Hall A on the lower level.
  • Exhibitors will be located in the mezzanine and lower level lobbies.
  • Happy Hour (Thursday, June 13; 5 - 6 p.m.) will be held in the Seasons Room on the second level.

CONFERENCE MATERIALS

Where and when do I receive my conference materials?

  • Online: Most session materials will be available online before and after the conference. To access the materials, you must be registered and paid in full for the conference. Please note: Online materials will be available beginning Monday, June 10.
  • At the conference: Materials will be distributed at individual session rooms. An expandable envelope will be provided to store your conference materials.

FEES AND REGISTRATION

Can I register for only one day?
Yes. Although we recommend attending both days for the maximum educational experience, you may register for only one day at a reduced fee. One-day registration will be available soon.

Can I split a two-day registration with a friend?
No. Each person who attends the conference must be registered individually to ensure continuing education credits are given appropriately.

I'm already registered, but still need to pick sessions. How do I do this?
Session registration is required to receive continuing education credits for the sessions you attend.
You may select or update your session selections online through Tuesday, June 11. Or, call MNCPA Customer Service at 952-831-2707 to update your session choices by Tuesday, June 11.

I'm not sure which sessions I want to attend. Can I submit my conference registration now and choose sessions later?
Yes. However, it is important that we eventually receive your session selections to ensure your continuing education credits are awarded correctly.
Please note: Session registration will be available through Tuesday, June 11, 2019. If you do not register for sessions by this date, you will need to fill out a session registration form at the conference.

What if I need to cancel my registration?

  • Cancellation: Receive a full refund if you cancel your registration in advance by 4:30 p.m. on Friday, June 7. Cancellations must be received at least four (4) business days prior to an event to receive a full refund. No refunds will be issued if you cancel within three (3) business days of the event and no CPE credit will be earned. Cancel online or contact MNCPA Customer Service at 952-831-2707. Please see our cancellation policy for more information.
  • Substitution: Rather than cancel your registration, you do have the option to send a substitute. You will not incur any cancellation/transfer fees if you send a substitute, even if the substitution is made within three (3) days of the event. To make a substitution, call MNCPA Customer Service at 952-831-2707. Please note: Additional fees may apply if the original registrant is an MNCPA member and the substitute registrant is a nonmember. The difference in fees will be charged to the substitute registrant.

What is the deadline to receive the early bird registration fee?
Your registration and payment must be received by Friday, May 17, 2019, to qualify for the early bird registration fee.

What other discounts are available?

  • MNCPA members receive a discounted rate. You can join today to receive the discount on all MNCPA continuing education.
  • IIA members receive a discounted rate.
  • Multiple registrations of 10 or more people from the same firm/company can receive a discounted rate of $425 for members and nonmembers. Registrations must be submitted by Friday, May 17, 2019. Visit the registration page for more information.
  • First-time MBAC attendees can receive a discounted rate of $425 (available to MNCPA members only). Visit the registration page for more information.

MEALS AND REFRESHMENTS

Are meals and refreshments included?
Yes. Continuous beverages including water, pop and coffee are provided throughout the conference in the mezzanine and lower level lobbies. Light breakfast items, morning and afternoon refreshments, lunch and Monday-evening happy hour are also provided at no additional charge.

Can you accommodate my dietary restrictions?
Please indicate any special dietary restrictions or vegetarian preferences when you submit your registration. Every effort will be made to accommodate your request. You can also contact MNCPA Customer Service at 952-831-2707 or customerservice@mncpa.org to change your preferences.

PARKING

Where can I park a truck that is too tall for ramps?
A surface lot is available behind Central Lutheran Church at 333 South 12th Street. Space is limited, so plan to arrive early if you need to park in this lot.

Where should I park?
The 3rd Avenue South Convention Center ramp is closest to the conference location within the Minneapolis Convention Center. Additional parking is available at the underground Plaza and Orchestra Hall (11th and Marquette) ramps. There are parking fees, so please plan accordingly.

SPECIAL REQUESTS

Is there a room for nursing mothers?
Yes, there will be a private room available for you at the facility. On the day of the conference, please come to the onsite registration desk located on the mezzanine level and a staff member will direct you to the private room. If you have questions, contact MNCPA Customer Service at 952-831-2707 or customerservice@mncpa.org.
