Eric Grube joins Minnesota Society of CPAs board of directors
The Minneapolis professor and CPA starts a three-year term
MINNEAPOLIS (April 24, 2026) — The Minnesota Society of Certified Public Accountants (MNCPA) welcomed its new officers and directors at its April 22 board of directors meeting, including Eric Grube, CPA.
The Minneapolis CPA is the program chair and associate professor of accounting at Concordia University, St. Paul and will serve a three-year term on the board. As part of the board, Grube is looking forward to bringing his years of teaching experience and providing a unique perspective on the next generation of practitioners. Grube, a 35-year MNCPA member, emphasizes the long-term advantages of CPA licensure, especially with new options for students.
“I’d like to focus on how to better market the accounting profession to existing college students who have not chosen a major and to high school juniors or seniors who will be soon entering higher education,” Grube said. “There’s still misalignment between student perceptions and the reality of what a career in public accounting looks like.”
The MNCPA serves the public interest by advancing the highest standards of ethics and practices within the CPA profession. The MNCPA delivers on that promise by offering extensive continuing professional education and resources; advocating for members and the public with regulatory agencies and boards; and mentoring and encouraging the CPAs and business leaders of tomorrow. Founded in 1904, the MNCPA has 7,500 members who work in public accounting, business and industry, government and education.
