John Muehlberg joins Minnesota Society of CPAs board of directors
The Wadena CPA starts a three-year term
MINNEAPOLIS (April 24, 2026) — The Minnesota Society of Certified Public Accountants (MNCPA) welcomed its new officers and directors at its April 22 board of directors meeting, including John Muehlberg, CPA.
The Wadena CPA is the chief financial officer at Kern Laser Systems and will serve a three-year term on the board. As part of the board, Muehlberg is especially interested in continuing the positive momentum around initiatives that strengthen the CPA pipeline and ensure the long-term health of the profession. An MNCPA member of 14 years, Muehlberg sees the MNCPA as uniquely positioned to serve as a trusted voice with state leadership through providing real-world insight into policy discussions.
“I believe we can help influence policies that promote economic growth, support Minnesota-based businesses and increase the competitiveness of our state while upholding the highest professional standards,” Muehlberg said. “I am eager to contribute to thoughtful, solutions-oriented advocacy that benefits the CPA profession, the business community and the citizens we serve.”
The MNCPA serves the public interest by advancing the highest standards of ethics and practices within the CPA profession. The MNCPA delivers on that promise by offering extensive continuing professional education and resources; advocating for members and the public with regulatory agencies and boards; and mentoring and encouraging the CPAs and business leaders of tomorrow. Founded in 1904, the MNCPA has 7,500 members who work in public accounting, business and industry, government and education.
