Help shape the future of the MNCPA by electing candidates to the board of directors. This year, five candidates are up for election or reelection.

Vote for the nominated group of members listed or suggest members in good standing who you wish to nominate by visiting www.mncpa.org/vote. Request a print ballot and direct questions about the ballot or voting process to Judy Cochran at jcochran@mncpa.org or 952-885-5501.

Please note the following voting requirements:
CPA members are eligible to vote; associate members and student members do not have voting rights.

Years of MNCPA membership: 19 years
Why I want to serve on the MNCPA board of directors:
I am interested in giving back to the profession by serving on the MNCPA board of directors and helping to drive future initiatives forward. The MNCPA has been a valuable resource to me throughout my professional career in a variety of ways, and it continues to adapt to these ever-changing times. The profession is in a very unique position currently with many recent changes and new challenges on the horizon. I find this a perfect time to be involved and helping to contribute to this evolution.

Kara Hanson, CPA

Position: Assistant controller
Years of MNCPA membership: 15 years
Why I want to continue serving on the MNCPA board of directors:
I enjoy learning about the obstacles and opportunities facing our profession, and feel that based on my experience and background, I am able to provide a different perspective from others on the board. I have a passion for our profession and for the CPA credential!

Jerry Lee, CPA, MBA, CGMA

Company: Lee Financial Group
Position: Principal
Years of MNCPA membership: 42 years
Why I want to serve on the MNCPA board of directors:
I am interested in serving on the board to help advance the profession through recruiting and retaining new talent, raising awareness of the changing demographics of Minnesota, promoting self-regulation and encouraging microlearning.

Lisa Miller, CPA, CGMA

Position: Chief financial officer
Years of MNCPA membership: 32 years
Why I want to continue serving on the MNCPA board of directors:
The MNCPA  is an important organization that supports and advocates for Minnesota’s CPAs. As I’m approaching the sunset in my CPA career, I want to give back to our profession and help set it up for continued success in the future.

Shauna Zwart, CPA

Company: Deloitte LLP
Position: Audit managing director
Years of MNCPA membership: 9 years
Why I want to continue serving on the MNCPA board of directors:
I have many years of experience at Deloitte, which has provided me with opportunities to serve both private and public companies of various sizes. As audit managing director, I work daily with numerous CPAs ranging from young interns and new hires to more experienced executives and audit committee members. The knowledge and perspectives I have gained from this experience is an asset that I can share with others. I would like to use these skills to benefit the MNCPA by serving on the board of directors.
