Lisa Simpson, CPA, CGMA, vice president of firm services at the AICPA, leads initiatives that help accounting firms of all sizes navigate change and seize new opportunities. She oversees the Private Companies Practice Section (PCPS), firm relationship management, diversity and inclusion efforts, and programs for emerging professionals, delivering resources and insights that drive firm success and support the profession’s evolution. Since 2020, Lisa has co-hosted the award-winning AICPA Town Hall Series, engaging thousands of CPAs and finance professionals on the latest trends and developments. Recognized on Accounting Today’s list of the Top 100 Most Influential People in Accounting since 2020, she brings deep experience from her early career at EY, work with small firms, and more than 20 years as a CFO for both nonprofit and for-profit organizations before joining the AICPA in 2012.
