Since 2015, Geno Fragnito and Julie Richardson, CPA, have been working to improve the relevance of lawful gambling audits by educating legislatures on the importance of this audit, lobbying for (and supporting) legislation that requires lawful gambling organizations to submit the audit to the Minnesota Gambling Control Board (GCB), and collaborating with the GCB to enhance these audits. Hear from Geno and Julie directly as they discuss the legislative environment related to lawful gambling audits. Learn about why, without CPA involvement, the audit requirement is just one vote away from being rescinded and see what we as a professional group can do to strengthen the relevance and quality of the lawful gambling audit.
