What are my attendance options?

Choose to attend hybrid (in-person + virtual) or virtual only.

Hybrid:

  • June 11 – sessions are in-person at the Heritage Center of Brooklyn Center.
  • June 12-13 – sessions are virtual.

Virtual only:

  • June 11 – sessions are livestreamed.
  • June 12-13 – sessions are virtual.

Select the appropriate registration type during the checkout process. You may also register for a single day.

What options are available if I attend day one in person? What if I choose the livestream?

  • In-person attendees (hybrid registration) will have access to additional in-person exclusive sessions, refreshments, breakfast, lunch, happy hour and other opportunities to interact and engage with attendees, sponsors and speakers.
  • All other sessions are available to both hybrid and virtual registrants.
  • There will be virtual ways to engage and connect with attendees, speakers and sponsors.

What do I need to know about the in-person venue?
The in-person portion of the conference is June 11 at the Heritage Center of Brooklyn Center.

What technology do I need?

For the livestream/virtual portion of the conference:

  • You can choose to participate via your laptop/desktop computer or via mobile device.
  • If you participate via computer, you will need a functional computer with a strong internet connection. It’s not necessary to download an app if you’re not coming to the in-person portion and prefer to use your computer.
  • If you participate via mobile device, you’ll need to download the conference app (details coming soon) before the conference starts.

For the in-person portion of the conference:

  • Hybrid/in-person attendees must download the conference app (details coming soon) before arriving.

How can I ensure a smooth experience?

  • Follow all instructions sent regarding the conference app and/or accessing virtual sessions (details coming soon).
  • If you prefer hard copies of materials, download the materials and print them before the conference begins. Materials are available electronically only, and you can access them via your MNCPA account or within the conference platform.
  • In-person attendees: Download the conference app (details coming soon) before you arrive to ensure you’re ready to check into the first session at 8 a.m.
  • In-person attendees: Arrive between 7:30-7:45 a.m. on June 11 to park, check in, grab breakfast and find your first session.

CONFERENCE MATERIALS

How do I access my conference materials?
Most sessions have materials available for download. You can access the PDFs via the MNCPA website three business days before the event and two weeks after, or via the conference platform during the event. Your registration fee must be paid in full to access the materials on the MNCPA website.

To access materials from the MNCPA website:

  • Go to the My CPE materials page and log in with your username and password.
  • Under the MBAC event, click the link to the session materials you want to access.

Are paper handouts available? 
No, materials are available electronically only. 

FEES AND REGISTRATION

Can I register for only one day?
Yes. We recommend attending all days to maximize your learning and value, but you may register for only one day at a reduced fee.


Is there a two-day registration option?
No. If you would like to attend two days of the conference, please register for all three days and simply attend the two days you'd like.


Can I register for a single session?
No. A la carte registration is not available for this event.


Can I split a multiple-day registration with a friend?
No. Each person who attends the conference must be registered individually to ensure continuing education credits are given appropriately.


Can I switch my registration from hybrid to virtual only, or vice versa?
Yes, you can switch your registration. Please call the MNCPA at 952-831-2707, option 1, for assistance.


I'm already registered, but still need to pick sessions. How do I do this?
Session registration is required to receive continuing education credits for the sessions you attend. You may select or update your session selections throught the end of the event (June 13). To pick your sessions:

  • Go to your CPE schedule and log in with your username and password.
  • Click on the "Sessions" link listed under the MBAC event.
  • Click the "Add/Remove Sessions" button (above the "List of Your Sessions" heading).
  • Use the check boxes to make your session selections.
  • Click "Continue" at the bottom of the page to complete the session selection process.


I'm not sure which sessions I want to attend. Can I submit my conference registration now and choose sessions later?
Yes, you can. However, it is important that we receive your session selections to ensure your continuing education credits are awarded correctly, so please select your sessions as soon as you're able to. 


What if I need to cancel my registration?

  • Cancellation: Receive a full refund if you cancel your registration by 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday, June 5, 2024. Cancellations must be received at least four (4) business days prior to an event to receive a full refund. No refunds will be issued if you cancel within three (3) business days of the event and no CPE credit will be earned. Cancel online or call 952-831-2707, option 1.   • Substitution: Rather than cancel your registration, you do have the option to send a substitute. You will not incur any cancellation/transfer fees if you send a substitute, even if the substitution is made within three (3) days of the event. To make a substitution, call 952-831-2707, option 1. Please note: Additional fees may apply if the original registrant is an MNCPA member and the substitute registrant is a nonmember. The difference in fees will be charged to the substitute registrant.


What is the deadline to receive the VIP members-only fee?
Your registration and payment must be received by Friday, May 10, 2024, to qualify for the VIP members-only fee. This fee is for MNCPA members only.


What is the deadline to receive the early bird registration fee?
Your registration must be received by Friday, May 24, 2024, to qualify for the early bird registration fee.


What other discounts are available?

  • MNCPA members receive a discounted rate. You can join today to receive the discount on this event and other MNCPA CPE programs.
  • Multiple registrations of 10 or more people from the same firm/company can receive a discounted rate of $599 for members and $749 for nonmembers. Registrations must be submitted with payment by Friday, May 24, 2024. Visit the registration page for more information.
  • First-time MBAC attendees can receive a discounted rate of $599 (available to MNCPA members only). Visit the registration page for more information.
 

CONTINUING EDUCATION

How many credits can I earn at the Management and Business Advisers Conference?
The Management and Business Advisers Conference qualifies for up to 24 CPE credits if you attend all three days. You can also earn other types of continuing education credits - CLE and ethics. See the credits page for more information on continuing education credits.


Who is the CPE sponsor?

What type of CPE is the Management and Business Advisers Conference?
This entire event is categorized as group internet-based CPE. 

 
How is my attendance tracked?
In compliance with CPE standards, your participation will be tracked.

For the in-person portion of the conference:

  • Attendance tracking information will be shared soon.

For the livestream/virtual portion of the conference:

  • Your attendance will be tracked using random attendance checks during each session.
  • A chime will play and a pop-up will appear for each attendance check. You must click on the pop-up to verify your attendance.

 
How do I ensure I receive CPE credits?
Make sure you are registered for sessions, attend the sessions you’re registered for, and follow the attendance tracking instructions (in-person/hybrid portion - details coming soon) or click on all attendance checks (livestream/virtual portion).
 
How do I ensure I receive ethics credits?
Make sure you are registered for ethics sessions, attend the sessions you’re registered for, and follow the attendance tracking instructions (in-person/hybrid portion - details coming soon) or click on all attendance checks (livestream/virtual portion).
 
Is there anything special I do for CLE credits?
There is no separate sign-in or tracking for CLE credit. Attendees must self-report CLE credits after the conference.
 
When will my certificate of attendance be ready?
CPE transcripts (certificates of attendance) will be updated with MBAC24 information three weeks after the program. You can access your transcript on the MNCPA website.
