Gain perspective and a better understanding of the trifecta of macroeconomic events businesses and consumers are facing: high inflation, rising interest rates and an increasing risk of recession. With inflation and wage growth at their fastest paces in 40 years, the Federal Reserve is aggressively raising interest rates. The policy goal is to reduce wage and price pressures without causing a full-blown recession, but the longer these pressures last, the more aggressive the Fed will be, with an economic contraction becoming more likely. Look at these economic forces and prepare for what might be on the horizon.
