Thomas A. Zessman, tax director at Ameriprise Financial, Inc., heads up the company's enterprise-wide indirect tax function, including sales & use tax and personal property tax. He is a sales and use tax specialist with more than 35 years of experience as a state tax auditor, a consultant, and, over the past decade, a manager in industry. Zessman focuses on the nuances of state tax legislation, the tax impact of contract language and managing state tax audits in the multistate space. He is a frequent speaker for COST, IPT, TEI and many other organizations, at both local and national conferences.
