Sam Butterbaugh, CISA, is currently the director of IT internal audit at Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Minnesota, where he has spent the last six years of his career. Sam leads the development, planning, and execution of the organization’s risk-based audits. He also leads his team in advising business stakeholders on best practice for implementation of IT general controls and completing independent controls testing on behalf of the business stakeholders. Prior to his role at Blue Cross, Sam spent more than five years consulting on IT audit and information security for a large public accounting firm.
