South Metro CPA firm with strong brand recognition in our area. Four offices with roughly 22 employees at tax time. Firm grew with one licensed CPA senior partner and one non-credentialed minority partner. In order to facilitate the next phase of growth and execute an appropriate exit strategy, firm seeks a licensed CPA to replace the current minority partner. This is a GREAT opportunity for somebody looking for the next level in terms of ownership.
The successful candidate is a licensed CPA with 12 to 20 years of progressive and broad experience in the smaller firm space. You have the experience to some degree with accounting, bookkeeping, payroll, entity tax and individual tax, tax planning and forecasting and other value-added experience (M&A, capital acquisition, buy/sell, consulting). Audit experience is a plus, as this is a service to be added in the next phase of growth.
The successful candidate will need capital to put toward your purchase of interest in the firm. We may help to some degree with financing but it will be important you are invested. The successful candidate will initially be a partner over accounting, bookkeeping and payroll and assist with tax. It would be expected that within 2 to 3 years tax will be added and another minority partner will be identified and brought into the firm so that the candidate can move to senior partner and another 2 to 3-year transition out of the current senior partner.
We are looking for the right person. Aside from being licensed and having relevant successful experience, you must have a strong work ethic, excellent communication skills, ability to work with clients in a variety of ways, and the ability to lead and manage within the organization.
This is a longer-term commitment so proven stability and commitment to purpose are essential.
