Benjamin Schlauderaff joins Minnesota Society of CPAs board of directors

The Plymouth CPA starts a three-year term

MINNEAPOLIS (April 19, 2024) — The Minnesota Society of Certified Public Accountants (MNCPA) welcomed its new officers and directors at its April 18 board of directors meeting, including Benjamin Schlauderaff, CPA.

The Plymouth CPA is a partner at RSM US LLP and will serve a three-year term on the board. As part of the board, Schlauderaff is looking forward to participating in pipeline initiatives and ensuring others in the profession have access to up-to-date information on current trends. A CPA of 12 years, Schlauderaff said he’s seen the decline in the number of accountants over time and aims to do what he can to address the issue.

“This is a topic that is very close to me, as I participate in a lot of campus recruiting at RSM,” Schlauderaff said. “I want to be part of the change to get more students into accounting programs and into the profession as CPAs.”

The MNCPA serves the public interest by advancing the highest standards of ethics and practices within the CPA profession. The MNCPA delivers on that promise by offering extensive continuing professional education and resources; advocating for members and the public with regulatory agencies and boards; and mentoring and encouraging the CPAs and business leaders of tomorrow. Founded in 1904, the MNCPA has 7,500 members who work in public accounting, business and industry, government and education.
