Specialized Credits Frequently Asked Questions

Do any of the MNCPA's offerings qualify for specialized credits? Which ones?

Yes, certain programs in the catalog may qualify for:
  • ABV
  • CFP®
  • CLE (Minnesota)
  • Employee Benefit Plan-Specific Continuing Education
  • IRS CE
  • Yellow Book

How do I know if a program or conference session qualifies for specialized credits?

The MNCPA CPE Catalog can be filtered by credit type. Locate "Credit Type" in the lefthand menu and check the box(es) for each credit type you are seeking.

For non-conference programs (such as webinars), information can also be found in the course details. When you view a course from the catalog, credit information appears at the top of the page, near the date, time and CPE information. Note: Be sure to also read the course description. Each vendor handles specialized credits differently, and action may be required on your part to get them (such as signing in or sending an email).

For conferences, start by clicking on the event from the catalog or conferences page. On the lefthand menu of each conference page, there is an item that says "Credits." Click that link to view credit information for a conference.

For premier events such as MBAC or Tax Conference, the best place to view specialized credit information is at the dedicated webpage for each event.
